Welcome to Chicago Reclaiming!

Some resources for acclimating to our community:

• Our community has certain agreements, or Hearth Laws, which support our culture. These encourage us to interact with each other with respect and honor as a group of equals.
• The Reclaiming.org website - especially the Principles of Unity. Currently, upholding the PoU and calling yourself a Reclaiming witch is the only "requirement" for joining the tradition.
• The Vernal Project has a wealth of information on consensus process, conflict resolution, and nonviolent communication. These are tools used by most Reclaiming groups, and they are integral to Reclaiming culture. Most Chicago Reclaiming entities explicitly reference these tools, and they are part of our hearth laws.
• The chireclaim Yahoogroup is our mailing list and main forum for community communications. The Files section includes various documents on communication agreements, structure and organization, etc.
• The links to the right are also useful to get a sense of where we are now as a community, how we've evolved over the course of our existence, and the Reclaiming tradition's broader development and evolution.
